Santiago Serrano Yánez
I'm Santiago, a cinematographer/director of photography based in Los Angeles, working across narrative, commercial, and documentary formats. I'm drawn to projects centered on character, place, and emotional clarity, and I collaborate closely with directors to build a visual language that serves the story first.
My foundation in nonfiction work across Latin America shaped a flexible, human-focused approach that carries across genres and scales. Whether I'm shooting fiction or doc-style commercial work, I bring intention, adaptability, and a deep respect for the director's vision.
Originally from Ecuador, I value people-first collaboration and I'm always open to honest, creative partnerships, wherever the work takes me. I hold an MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute.
